Paul Mooney served as Chief Financial Officer at what was formerly known as Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation for nearly 11 years.  Prior to that time, he was a Partner in the Pittsburgh office of the accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.   Paul serves as Managing Director of the Jade Group.

Paul Mooney began his career at Price Waterhouse in 1973, and from 1988 to June 1996 he served as the Pittsburgh Site Leader of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Accounting and Business Advisory Services Department.  He was a Client Service and Engagement Partner for twelve years and also served as the National Director of Cross Border Filing Services with the Accounting, Auditing and SEC Services Department of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP from July 1996 to November 1997.

For approximately eleven and a half years, beginning in 1997, Mooney was the Chief Financial Officer of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and its various successor organizations.  He was Executive Vice President of Esmark, Inc. from November 2007 until September 2008 and of its predecessor companies:  Wheeling Pittsburgh Corporation (WPC) and Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation (WPSC).  He served as a Director of WPC from August 2003 until November 2006 and as the Vice Presient of WHX Corporation (WPC's parent company) from October 1997 to December 2001.

Mooney is on the Board of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy.

He graduated from St. Francis University.  He and his wife live in Mt. Lebanon, PA.
